About
I'm a maker and a noticer of small things — happiest with a camera in hand, a half-finished idea in my head, and somewhere new to point both.
Hello — I'm Stephen Cooper. I grew up somewhere with big skies and a slow internet connection, which turned out to be the perfect training for a life spent making things by hand and paying attention. These days I split my time between creative projects and the hobbies that keep me curious.
By day I work in a field I genuinely love; by night and on weekends I'm usually behind a camera, on a trail, or deep in a project that probably should have stayed an idea. I believe the interesting stuff lives at the intersection of disciplines — that the filmmaker and the cyclist and the tinkerer all teach each other something.
Craft over polish. Curiosity over expertise. Long walks, good light, and the kind of conversations that lose track of time. I try to make things that feel honest and a little bit handmade, even when they're digital.
The short version: I followed what I was curious about and tried to be useful along the way. The longer version is what this whole site is for — so poke around the work and the journal if you want the director's cut.
